Inspired by Trinidad’s national pride, the design palette featured a striking combination of red and black, elevated with subtle hints of pink gold and lush greenery. This sophisticated mix paid tribute to the island’s vibrant spirit while maintaining a modern and luxurious edge. The result is a look that is both dramatic and inviting, perfectly capturing the essence of tropical romance.

The Perfect Backdrop: The Brix Hotel Rooftop

Set against the breathtaking landscape of Trinidad, the shoot was staged on the rooftop of The Brix, Autograph Collection. The venue provided an unobstructed view of the natural beauty below, enhancing the moody yet sensuous ambiance. With the expansive sky and vivid surroundings, every element of the decor was carefully positioned to interact with this striking backdrop.

The Ceremony: A Luxurious Floral Tribute

The ceremony space was transformed into an enchanting oasis:

• Floral Arch: A deconstructed arch served as the focal point with a luxurious full floral design that perfectly framed the rooftop vista. The arch featured locally sourced anthuriums, the hero flower that added a distinct tropical flair to the modern aesthetic.

• Aisle Accents: The aisle was gracefully lined with complementary floral markers and red floating candles nestled in cylindrical vases, guiding guests towards the captivating arch.

This attention to detail celebrated local flora and elevated the overall romantic vibe, ensuring every moment was meticulously curated.

Reception Elegance: Moody, Modern, and Mesmerizing

At the reception, every table was an artwork of design:

• Table Setting: The tables were draped in black sequin linen that contributed to the moody, romantic atmosphere. As light danced across the sequins, a subtle sparkle added an extra layer of sophistication.

• Dinnerware and Napkins: Clear glass chargers with a gold rim provided a refined base for the table setting. These were artfully paired with apple red fabric napkins and elegantly designed menu cards from Luxe Signatures (@luxesignatures.co), enhancing the table’s luxurious appeal.

• Centerpieces and Lighting: Low, garden style centerpieces in rich red, featuring our signature anthuriums alongside roses, added a lush yet intimate feel. Modern black candle holders and complementary votives punctuated the design, casting a warm, inviting glow over the setting.

Curated Culinary Experience

Enhancing the overall design was a curated culinary experience by L'Onction Friandises. The meal began with an enticing amuse-bouche featuring a deconstructed salmon and cream cheese wonton, setting the stage for a creative journey through flavor. For the main course, guests could choose between pan-seared chicken in a velvety mushroom sauce or blackened salmon with a roasted tomato coulis, accompanied by buttery mashed potatoes, a seasonal vegetable medley, and caramelized fried plantains. Each dish carried the distinctive “sweet hand” flavour that is a hallmark of Trinidad and Tobago cuisine, culminating in a classic strawberry cheesecake that offered a perfectly satisfying finale to this unforgettable dining affair

No luxurious celebration is complete without a show-stopping cake. Crafted by Josh Cakes, the three tier black fondant cake was a true masterpiece. Adorned with gold flakes and red roses, the cake was surrounded by a floral meadow of single stems that echoed the tropical and modern design ethos.

• Asymmetric Design: The bouquet featured an asymmetric arrangement with clusters of red roses and red anthuriums artfully gathered to one side. This modern twist was both edgy and romantic.

• Groom’s Boutonniere: Matching the bouquet, the groom’s boutonniere maintained a cohesive design language so that every element was in perfect harmony.
