All About Us
At KPD, we believe design has the power to transform not just spaces, but the way people feel within them.
What began as a love for beauty, atmosphere, and meaningful details evolved into a design house dedicated to creating experiences that feel intentional, elevated, and deeply personal. KPD was built on the idea that events should never feel generic or disconnected from the people at the center of them. Every celebration deserves to feel alive with meaning, beauty, and emotion.
As part of a new era of event design in Trinidad and Tobago, KPD is pioneering a more intentional and bespoke approach to celebrations through thoughtfully curated concepts and fresh floral artistry. We believe event design should go beyond decoration — it should tell a story, evoke feeling, and create an experience that is entirely unique to each client.
Known for our refined yet modern approach, we specialize in event design and florals that enhance a space rather than overwhelm it. From intimate moments to large-scale celebrations, we thoughtfully curate each detail to create environments that feel immersive, effortless, and unforgettable.
At the heart of KPD is transformation — taking a vision, a feeling, or even an empty room and turning it into something people can experience with all their senses. We design with intention, emotion, and a deep understanding that the most memorable events are not only seen, but felt.
More than creating beautiful events, KPD exists to help people celebrate life’s moments in a way that feels authentic to them with beauty, presence, and lasting impact.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
"I've always been referred to as a perfectionist and overachiever and I used to feel bad for that but over time I've realised that it's a superpower and not a flaw at all"
The ability to step into an empty room and transform it into a living, breathing experience is not just a skill—it is a divine calling. For Kaneesha Primus, the journey toward shaping a new standard of event design in Trinidad & Tobago began in the deep, quiet south of the island, rooted in a childhood shaped by family and the natural world.
Growing up surrounded by the abundance of her mother’s plants and the steady growth of her grandfather’s garden, Kaneesha learned to see the world with an artist's eye. Helping tend to the earth, she developed an intimate reverence for texture, the behavior of color, and the organic symmetry of living things. She noticed the delicate details others overlooked. It was in these humble, grounded beginnings that God quietly planted the seeds for her life’s work.
When Kaneesha entered the industry in 2016, she began in event management, mastering the meticulous logistics and structure of execution. Yet, she quickly realized that while organization creates a smooth event, it is design that creates an unforgettable feeling. Looking closely at the local landscape, she noticed a profound gap: a reliance on static, artificial elements and a lack of true, cohesive spatial design. There was a desperate need for life, authenticity, and imagination.
Driven by a desire to bridge that gap, Kaneesha chose to elevate her craft, treating her journey as a lifelong commitment to learning. Her dedication to mastering spatial transformation took her far beyond local borders, leading her to train alongside world-renowned industry masters like Preston Bailey and Sarah Campbell, and allowing her to refine her hands-on skills in the creative hubs of Miami and Paris.
This dedicated evolution caught the attention of national media, with her emerging work and perspective being featured across the country’s premier platforms, including the Trinidad Express Newspapers, CNC3, and TTT.
Today, that journey has culminated in the birth of Kaneesha Primus Design.
As a Creative Director, Kaneesha approaches her company not just as a decor service, but as a design house. Through Kaneesha Primus Design, she is actively bridging the gap she once saw, treating fresh florals not as mere embellishments to fill a table, but as a living, structural medium used to sculpt an entire atmosphere. Backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Marketing from the University of London, her imaginative creativity is always balanced by a thoughtful, structured approach to execution.
Kaneesha is still growing, still building, and constantly pushing the boundaries of her own craft. Ultimately, she views her ability to help people celebrate their most sacred milestones as a profound privilege. It is a gift from God, used to translate love stories and personal visions into breathtaking, tangible realities that guests will feel long after the night is over.
